Travelling My Road

Highway No. 60 is my road to Jerusalem.

"Terrorists Shot at Me, I Was Saved by Miracle"

Yisrael Jarmon of Eli, driving to Jerusalem Thursday morning, was ambushed and shot at repeatedly by terrorists - and emerged without a scratch.

The well-planned terrorist attack occurred at around 10:00 this morning. Yisrael was on his way to Jerusalem, about a half-kilometer [north of] Ofrah, when two Arabs standing on the side of the road attacked his car. One threw a large rock, forcing him to slow down, while the other one opened fire. "I continued to drive, even as they fired at me," he said, "and miraculously made it safely to Ofrah."

Yoav Finkel of Ofrah, who arrived on the scene shortly afterwards, agreed that it was a miracle. "When you see where the bullets hit, you understand what happened here," he said. "Three bullets hit the car, including one in the steering wheel itself, and another one crashed through the driver's door. I saw two exit holes - one above the front passenger seat, and another one in the passenger-side door."

A week ago, on the same road - well-traveled north-south Highway 60, from Nazareth to Be'er Sheva - a 52-year-old man was stabbed in the neck by an Arab who acted as if he was a motorist in distress. A military source told Arutz-7's Uzi Baruch that the terrorists in the area continue to think of ways to murder Jews: "We all remember the suicide terrorist who disguised himself as a Jewish hitch-hiker and then blew up the car that picked him up."
