Permissible?

Is it permissable to carry on the Sabbath?

Jewish Law, the Halacha, says no unless certain conditions are met (we dealt with this on the question of eruv) and go here and here.

And why am I nevertheless getting into this subject?

Behold:-

These Ultra-Orthodox Jews were demonstrating on the Sabbath, June 9 in London. The caption at the demo report site reads:

The rabbis, in respect of their Sabbath, walked several miles to attend the rally.

And, they would appear to be carrying.

Of course, it just might be that they were standing still and not moving which would be a dispensatory factor as the prohibition of "carrying" in the halachic sense is actually moving four handbreadths, about 2 meters. So maybe there were just standing still?

The other explanation is that they were too busy wathcing these "Enough" T-shirts and weren't paying attention to the minutiea of Halacha:-

I think it's the latter - see the two guys on the leaning on the fence... the knowing smiles on their peaceful faces says it all... teehehe.

The Neturi Karta aren't real Jews? Noooo.
Trust me I've had my run in with them, it's not an organization, it's a cult
