Holy Hole!

Holy Har Habayit!

Please see update below

Haaretz [has] (sorry had) this picture up, taken by a member of the Islamic Movement:-

let's try that source again.

and it writes there that:

The National Infrastructures Ministry said in a statement following Friday's 5.3-magnitude earthquake that the most recent tremors have increased fears about the possibility of a destructive earthquake taking place here.

Friday's earthquake shook open a large hole on the Temple Mount plaza, near the Dome of the Rock.

Al-Aqsa mosque officials belonging to the Islamic Movement's Northern Branch covered the hole with wooden planks following afternoon prayers. The officials, who also said the quake caused cracks in several local residential buildings, said the hole was a meter deep, two meters long and meter and a half wide.

The Islamic Movement blamed Israel for the hole, saying Israel is digging tunnels in the area that undermine the stability in the area of the Al-Aqsa mosque. The organization urged Islamic states to take action to stop Israeli excavations in the area.

I don't think any Israeli should take credit for this, well, not yet anyway.

And for the academic, here.

UPDATE

For all those who are getting upset about the religious aspect of the hole, whether or not it proves the existence of a God or that the Jews are the rightful owners of the site or whatever, let's get back into proportion.

The site, besides being a sacred spot and highly politically charged, is an archeologically important location with great cultural weight, at the very least. Why should the Muslim Waqf be allowed, with impunity, to destroy, eradicate, cover up and then deny its existence as where the two temples of the Jews were built? Even atheists should be sympathetic.

Looks like the hole was already there, and the earthquake just broke the cover that was hiding it. There was a report a while back that the Arabs were digging a hole to fill with "holy water" from Mecca. Is this it?

As for holes:

Jerusalem suffered a severe earthquake January 15, 1546: the Dome on the Church of the Holy Sepulcher was completely destroyed as were many other buildings. The Dome of the Rock was seriously damaged. Another major quake was the July 11, 1927, earthquake was one of the first earthquakes on the Dead Sea Fault to be recorded by modern seismographic techniques, it reached 6.2 on the Richter scale.

The magnitude of a number of earthquakes in Israel is fairly well known:

YEAR Magnitude of Quake

1927 AD 6.4
1834 6.6
1759 6.5
1546 6.7
1293 6.4
1202 7.2
1068 6.2
1033 6.5
749 6.6
658 6.2
363 7.0

I'll add a picture.

It is prophecied in the word of G-d an earthquake as in the days of Uzziah, excuse my spelling, its in the timing of the Almighty. He has buried under the cross area the ark of covenant with Christs blood and the ten commandmants. Israeli levite descendants tried to retrieve them in the 90's and they died in the tunnels. When the timing is right he will bring those out and cause a way for them to be found mans wickedness and sin are increasing when false peace treaties and false laws come it's a matter of time he can shake the earth up and bring those out. As for The Arabs they blame Israel for everything now they blame them for damage disasters cause. If they have a toothache or headache do they blame that for Israeli's I wonder?

Regardless of those who fail to base their beliefs upon the Bible, the Holy Land was given by our Great Creator God to the Children of Israel - not to the world, and especially not to covetous and murderous Nazi Muslim enemies. That's why it's called the Promised Land of ISRAEL.

May Israel repent of their woeful neglect of the Temple Mount and reclaim it, and restore it as the Temple Mount, hosting the much heralded House of Prayer for All Nations (who want to worship the God of Jacob).

To all the nut-job Christian fundamentalists: Please stop leeching on to our religion. Your centuries of idol worship and disgusting persecution of my people will not protect you from what is coming from above (or below for that matter). Millions of Jews dies at the hands of Christians for centuries. A few decades of your "love" will not cover up the blood.

Hey, it's just hunky dory that you love Israel. Seriously. But it's not enough. Your worship of the false prophet and apikorus "yeshu" (Yemach Sh'mo) is just plain wrong and goes against G-d and His Holy Torah. Please look into the B'nai Noach movement to put you on the right track. G-d meant it when He said no other gods. He's silly that way with not lying or being wishy-washy.

When Mashiach comes (for real) you will have to answer for believing in something (or someone) who is not G-d. I know the truth is painful to bear, but you need to wake up.

David Ben-Ariel said...

If you're so eager for the Messiah to arrive, why don't you follow Judaism to Israel and help hasten his arrival? The Temple Mount is in Jerusalem, not these Lands of the Covenant (partial inheritance of Joseph - Menashe). You don't have to stay in your self-imposed exile, especially since you hypocritically appear to hate all professing Christians, failing to distinguish between our differences, as carelessly as some mark all Jews as liberals and enemies of mankind. Priests and Levites are supposed to know how to differentiate between things.

Some rabbis consider Christianity idolatry, others don't. Some of us recognize pagan elements in both professing Christianity and Judaism and call for both Israel and Judah to clean house.

Israel and Judah Must Get House in Order Before King Messiah Arrives

And please stop beating your chest about real or imagined persecution of Jews by Christians (mainly by Catholics who are not Christian, and who also persecuted Sabbath-keeping Christians), or vainly thinking that all Christians need your approval or care to show you anything but tough love, as necessary. I know this Christian Zionist doesn't. Some of us strive to please God - not those who play God. Besides, Jews are their own worst enemy, as both the Bible and history has proven time again.

Michael (nice Hebrew name), you're entitled to your idolatrous ideas (Isaiah 55:7-9), clearly not Bible-based, and to continue to wander in your spiritual bewilderment, your religious anarchy, and the Promised Land of Israel will remain the Promised Land of Israel, by divine decree.

I hope some day you do a prayerful Bible study to see why the Bible is ethnocentric with its focus on the family of Jacob, why God has chosen to elect the Twelve Tribes of Israel to ultimately become His Servant Nation: to bless all mankind, in God's good time and perfect order.

Just can't take the fact that G-d is not a liar who would change His Law. Sure, like Zeus He comes down to earth, impregnates a virginal young lass and creates a half-man half-god being. Lol. Get over YOURSELVES idol worshipers. If you worship Jesus then you are not worshiping G-d. Simple.

Israel is my Land whether I am there or not. The Temple Mount is mine whether a mosque sits upon it or not. Know why? Because I have a document that says so. It's called the Torah and no, it wasn't abrogated so some European Protestants could feel like they are part of Israel.

David Ben Ariel: Irish? British? German?

"Priests and Levites are supposed to know how to differentiate between things."

We do. It's our job to differentiate between Holy and profane and there is nothing more profane then professing Christians who feel that they can sweep aside 2000 years of murder, rape and persecution by attaching themselves to Israel for the sake of their own twisted eschatological fantasies.

"Some rabbis consider Christianity idolatry, others don't." Name me one that doesn't. Sorry, one that wasn't living under the yoke of Christian love during the Middle Ages and would have been burned at the stake like so many other of his co-religionists.

"Some of us recognize pagan elements in both professing Christianity and Judaism and call for both Israel and Judah to clean house." Christians worship Jesus. Jesus is not G-d. Therefore Christians are idol worshipers. There is no paganism in Judaism, so thanks so much for your brotherly insight about Judah and Israel cleaning house. Oh, are you professing that Christians are part of Israel now?

"And please stop beating your chest about real or imagined persecution of Jews by Christians" You will have to answer to G-d for that statement.

"Some of us strive to please God - not those who play God." As opposed to the renegade Jesus? Are you pleasing G-d by worshiping something other than Him?

"Besides, Jews are their own worst enemy, as both the Bible and history has proven time again." Ooo, sounds a little anti-semitic Mr. European Christian. Truth bubbling to the surface?

Don't be too hasty, judahhakohain, to discount the fact that Jesus is your "Mashiach"! Read your scriptures, like Isaiah 53 or
Zechariah 12v10:
"And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn."
PS Some of us Christians don't believe in the Trinity (gasp!)
So Jesus is the Son of God and will at the end of his 1000 year reign on earth hand over all authority to his Father.

First of all that's NOT what Christians believe. If you are going to slam them for their beliefs at least get them right. No Christian believes that God came down like Zeus and impregnated a woman. No sex was involved in Yeshua's conception. Christians believe that Jesus WAS G-d, in the flesh. G-d can do ANYTHING He so desires and there is nothing He cannot do. He stands outside of human time so he could be in Heaven and place Himself on earth at the same time. He had to come through the human race from the line of David to be like one of us. The only difference was He never sinned because He was G-d. That made Him the perfect sacrifice to cleanse us from sin. A perfect flawless, sinless sacrifice. Which is why He is referred to as The Lamb Of G-d. G-d loves us THAT much and He wanted to save us from our sins that He saw the only answer as death on the cross and His resurrection promises us eternal life with Him.

And guess what?!! I am Jewish and believe that Yeshua was and is the promised Messiah. He fulfilled many prophecies and the rest of the prophecies will be fulfilled when He returns as King of King and Lord of Lords. ****

And we are getting closer to His return. The planet can feel it. Prophecies are being fulfilled. And Israel cries out for justice. And they will get it. Because it is MY Israel too. It is the Land that God gave to my ancestors. Israel just wants to live in peace. They want to be left alone. Her enemies are greedy and want to drive Israel and her people into the sea and have said so. Israel is guilty of NOTHING except defending Herself when attacked. Since when is self-defense wrong? I see reports and they blame Israel and claim Her people are terrorists. That is a lie. Never believe a terrorist who points their finger at another and calls them a terrorist. Israel is innocent. She belongs to G-d.

Lastly, if Jesus was the messiah, where is the fulfillment? Where is the peace? Oh yeah, he needs a second shot. Wake up, folks. G-d is real and He doesn't tolerate idol worship. Save yourselves now.

Since the beginning of time, man has had to deal with spiritual warfare, that has led to human warfare. Destruction, hatred, fighting, and yes, arguing.. I say to you, love one another... Stay alert, and stay awake...
Catholic's are Christians, & they have been since long before any protestant religion of today... Jews are God's chosen people, and have been since Abraham. Stop battling each other's intellect.. Fight the good fight, the battle between good and evil that rages in your minds and hearts every second of every day... love one another, and you'll win!

What can we do or say to properly express our regret? How can we atone for something so unspeakably awful? I could say I'm so very sorry, because I am, but of course it seems ridiculously inadequate. Is there anything in the Torah about repentance and forgivenss? Is there anything we can do to obtain your forgiveness? Please don't hold these crimes against us forever!

Frightening how an earthquake along a fault line can get maniacs of all stripes butting heads over a hole.

And for the person who said the temple mount is his no matter what sita on it, because a document "the torah" says so. All religions and gods are socially created. Judiasm was likely constructed out of numerous different localized religious nattatives in the region by a monarch who sought to consolidate rule in the area. Making one big uber-narrative out of many, and writing yourself into the geneaology of sacred takes goes a long way.

Additionally, one can check out astrology and the major religions. Christianity and the age of pices-aquarius symbology, Judaism and the aries symbology (even the ram's horn used to call to prayer.) God is lifted from astrology, and all gods are re-writes.

Let's stop loving one particular version of God irrationally, and love each other instead. Then we can all go up on the same mountain, into the same building, and have lunch together. Sound good?

To the Anonymous before the last anonymous -

In order to know what's really going on in the middle east, it's necessary to educate oneself regarding the history of the region - if the media is your only source of information, you will be badly mis-led, as I see you are.

The unfortunate truth is that the Arab people (incl. Palestinians) have been trying to perpetuate a hoocaust against the people of Israel and in so doing continue to live in a mess of their own making. If some group were murdering the citizens of your country day after day, in an effort to eradicate your country, wouldn't you agree that your country would have a right to defend itself against this group?

Stop and think a minute - don't you remember when western democratic civilization came under attack on 9/11 in the U.S.? The Palestinians were celebrating in the streets! What kind of people would do that?

Israel gave Gaze to them and instead of using the opportunity to build some kind of life for themselves, they voted to be "governed" by terrorists and preferred to continue their program of murdering innocent Israeli civilians rather than get on with living. The "plight" of the Palestinians is unfortunately of their own making - they are their own worst enemies because of their blind hatred and anti-semitism. And you seem to be siding with your own enemies without realizing it, wherever you are from. Hope this helps to clarify things.

As for Anonymous #2 - you are a obviously a maniac and a barbarian and I wouldn't even try to reason with you.

Anonymous said...

You so-called Jews need to read your own Torahs before accusing others of being faulty in their history. G-d gave Canaan to the Israelites in order to punish the idolatry of the Canaanites, not because the Israelites were particularly worthy of the gift. He considered the Israelites a "stiff-necked people."

And in Leviticus and Deuteronomy G-d specifically states that if the Israelites don't follow his laws, "The land will vomit you out." Immediately after that statement it is written that "He who moves his neighbor's fencepost is cursed." He who oppresses widows and orphans is also cursed.

If you so-called Jews read your Torahs you would know that and wouldn't be so condescending. The land was given on a conditional basis, and you would think after being evicted from the land three times aleady by HaShem to punish your wayward faith that you would put your faith in him instead of world powers fighting your battles for you.

Anonymous said...

That's right, I'm "a maniac and a barbarian" because I condemn murders, liars and cheats. Let's consider this, do you believe the German people would have followed Adolf Hitler and supported the extermination of the European Jews if they had not been wronged by that particualr group of people? Fact is they were being starved and treated like second class citizens in their own land. Just as you are now doing to the Palestenian peolpe. You make your own bed, now lie in it.

Anonymous said...

Theresa, you are a very confused woman. Open your eyes. WAKE UP AND LOOK! The ones that are slaughtering and attempting to eradicate anyone are the Jews. This is why the Lord is sending warnings to Israel through tornados and earthquakes. If Israel does not repent and cease its genocide of the Palestinian people God's wrath will descend upon it. Heed the warnings!

Come on people! stop hating each other! We were all created by God and Loved by Him as well(not just some of us!) We are all human and we all err! Therefore religious denominations that started off on the right track are not on the right path anymore(that includes everybody)! We are being taught by God our shortcomings and the consequence of our sin's(all of us, no one is excluded)! The consequence of choosing our own Kings and leaders over God!!Its time to stop hating and start working together! If not by our own choice then we will be forced to work together soon by persecution(this will be everyone that believes in the Lord, not just jews, christians or whatever!) Every religion has become corrupt at one point in history or another. So stop pointing fingers at each other, or you'll be too busy accusing one another and slandering each other when God returns. I think we have already been taught that lesson, and forgotten it as well! Seek the truth, by studying the word of God, not what man has told you to believe! Stand up for GOD not man!

Wow, no wonder there's no peace in the Middle East - what, with all this maniacal religious fanaticism.

You would think that if the disaster of WWII taught anyone anything, it's to never trust anyone who tells you you're part of a superior race. And yet these Zionists cling to the self-congratulating pretence that they're God's 'chosen people'? And why? Because some poets a few thousand years ago also congratulated themselves with the same supremacism?

Do Zionists not see the obvious parallel between Zionism and Nazism? C'mon, It's the same basic lie Hitler sold to the German people, and things didn't end up too well for them, did it? - what, with 10 million of them dying in WWII, mostly civilians.

So if you're a Zionist buying into the idea that God likes you more than other people, and lets you kill them in God's name, then don't be too suprised when the rest of the world comes to put an end to that like it came to put an end to a Nazi take-over Europe.

In the meantime, Zionism has squeezed Palestine into a concentration camp. Walls, barbed-wire, checkpoints, confiscation and destruction of property, summary executions, basic services denied. Is the international community going to wait till there's gas chambers before it starts to see the parallels between Nazism and Zionism?

Zionism is a dead end for everybody involved. It targets Palestinians for genocide and brain-washes Jews into thinking that they're some kind of super race, and that redemption is just around the corner. Ha! It'll ALWAYS be just around the corner, and meanwhile they're making life a living hell for themselves and their neighbours. Zionists claim that they're just defending themselves. What kind of survival strategy sits a people on top of a tinder box of 200-400 nuclear weapons, then pisses of all its neighbours with provocations of war? Things won't end well.

There won't be peace in the Middle East until people realize that a human is a human is a human, that one race is not superior to any other, that if a God exists, it'd probably be above taking sides in petty human squabbles, and that the cycle of violence must be broken by not participating in it.

[I] tend to support the latter view and have an additional argument:...the need to sustain the character of the state which will henceforth be Jewish...with a non-Jewish minority limited to 15 percent. Yes the word "palestinean" don't exist as we know and it's myth. What people say is interesting about the inheritants of Ismael but what God/Adonai says about them is true. It's written in Genesis 16:10-12..that the inheritants of Ismael "He will be a wild donkey of a man: his hand will be against everyone.."
Some christian and messianics says that arabs in middle east are mixed with fallen angels and that's why they're so wild and act like demons or like animals. Adonai will show us one day in His time what's true..He will reveal everthing.

the PA has had Gaza plenty long enough. they did not hold up their end of the bargain, land for peace? when did the peace start? they have breeched the contract, at a heavy cost to those that were involved in signing it, the USA took a massive hit from Katrina, and the P.M. fell into a coma.... and Israel still gets bombarded with rockets and other destructive devices..

what other things do we need to witness to know that God is not pleased about giving up parts of the Promised Land?

have you ever noticed, no one says boo about some one attacking Israel? but as soon as Israel gets the upper hand, everyone wants the fighting to stop?

IT IS TIME TO FORECLOSE ON THE P.A. IN GAZA, and start looking for the rest of the land that belongs to Israel....

Marianne,

You totally support the very people who tortured and killed your God?

That is very strange.

And their history is full the prophets blood on their hands and rebellion against God, worshiping the Golden Calf only days after Moses led them out of persecution.

Do not even think of responding as I am not even coming back.
