The Board of Deputies and the Jewish Leadership Council, in consultation with a coalition of prominent organisations in the Anglo-Jewish community, have decided to cancel the planned Israel Solidarity Rally, due to occur on Sunday 11th of January.
This decision has been taken after intense discussions within the community, due to a feeling that such a demonstration would not be in accordance with the Board's wish to bring the conflict to an immediate conclusion. It was thought that the demonstration might be perceived as the community taking one side in the tragic war in Gaza and Israel, and might be seen as supporting Israel's military campaign.
The Board calls for an immediate ceasefire, immediate negotiations between Israel and Hamas, and for lifting the economic blockade of Gaza, in order to allow the Gazan and Israeli people to live together in peace. There is no military solution, only a political one.
The Jewish community does not wish to be seen as a participant in the conflict, and in taking this stand we hope to be a part of the solution. The Board stands in solidarity with the besieged and injured people of Gaza, as well as the victims of terrorism in Israel, and we oppose all violence as contrary to the tenets of the Jewish religion. We would like to reach out to the British Muslim community, as well as those of no religion who have demonstrated against Israel's military campaign-we share your anguish at the destruction and loss of life caused, and hope that our action in calling off our demonstration will be a small step towards peace.

Let me clear to you, I am not Arab, but I am Somali from East Africa living in Mn.
My question is, what is the best way to bring peace between Arabs and Israelis?
Your ethnic, religious or national background is irrelevant to me. All I ask is that my interlocutors assume the possibility that they may not know enough or that the information they have is wrong. Now, briefly, to your question:
a) Arabs realize that not all the world is theirs. they cannot claim that since they conquered what they call Palestine in 638, that Jews cannot come back - which they constantly did all throughout the centuries, way before something called Zionism appeared - and reconstitute their national home.
b) the Arabs realize that for the past century, violence has not gotten them anywhere.
c) in a contemporary political sense, the Arabs currently under Israeli administration accept a form of autonomy or a semi-condominium situation with Jordan. a separate independent Arab state is not on my agenda.
d) reject the stream of Islam that Hamas has adopted.

A. Arabs never conquered the holyland, but they saved many jews from the Roman. Also, the jews lived peaceful during the golden age of islam where they enjoyed the greater level of tolerance. Europeans killed 6-million people not muslims and most western GOV watched. To movefoward, now the state of Israel doing the same things by killing others and as well the other side. I believe that both side need to set down without the influences of others.
Elie Wiesel said,

You should follow this because at end we all human beings.
B. Arabs need to reform and is best for both side to have peace.
C. Well you should have a clear mind.
D. Islam is loving religion and some people abused it. Hamas is elected party by democratic election. Under international laws, you have the right to resistance any occupation. The west made the state of Israel just to find solutions of WWII and to ships Jews from Europe. Now the west made conflict between Arab and Israel. Israel GOV, should agree to the right of return for those people who were kicked from their land. Is not fair for any European Jew whom were born in Eroupe or somewhere else to claim Israel home state due of the religion link. Than, all the muslims should claim Saudi Arabia as their home and all Christens should claim Bethlehem as their home. Failures are often the results of timidity and fears; disappointments are the results of bashfulness; hours of leisure pass away like summer-clouds, therefore, do not waste opportunity of doing good
Jerusalem should not be anyone capital and should be independent state and should be rule by rabbi, priest and imam without any infliunces of Isreal GOV and Palestine GOV.
