Throwback to 1994

Israel's Media Watch was founded as an idea in 1994, mainly by the push of Prof Eli Pollak and a few friends from Professors for a Safe Israel. Actually, a rally was attempted in front of Television House of the IBA which itself did not get coverage and that spurred organizational activity.

Pamela Geller blogs about a similar by quite major reaction in the States to the behavior of the media in the Obama Reign Period called Operation Can You Hear Us Now?.

Their message:

We the people intend this day to act as a "shot across the bow" so to speak as a warning to the ships in the Main Stream Biased Media fleet. Our message to them:

‘Disengage from adopting a (liberal) party line bias in your reporting or face the consequences. Return to patrolling the waters of democracy with objectivity, fairness and balance. Act once again as a check on political corruption and tyranny instead of being a party to it. Ignore this "warning shot" to your own peril. If you continue to persist in your complicit behavior with big government and the political establishment, you shall suffer the same fate as the proud Titantic – sunken this time by a colossal iceberg called "WE THE PEOPLE"’

Main Stream Media – you are on probation. If you refuse to heed the call back to true journalism, you may look forward to the next Operation Can You Hear Us Now event very soon…"

Here are some signs from the rallies going on there:
