Joe Biden Talks About The "Green Line"

A humorous treatment and maybe even political satire.

a)

"What? You're asking me to define the "Green Line?"

b)

"Well, you see, it's this line that was drawn, they tell me, back in 1949 to mark the armistice lines between the invading Arab armies and the nascent state of Israel which our great President, Harry Truman, recognized just a few minutes after it was declared. And it left the state of Israel with really small territory with no room for proper security from threat of aggression."

c)

"Now, those Arab states would like you to think that the state of Israel is really big and has violated international law by being on the other side of that "Green Line" after the 1967 war. But between me and you, those friggin' State Department types never liked Israel and in fact, they never recognized Israel as a sovereign power in Jerusalem even before 1967. Heck, the "Green Line" made no difference to them and they persuaded Presidents to believe that. Can you imagine that?"

d)

"But we all know that the distance between that old "Green Line" and the sea, for example, was narrow like, you know. In the Netanya area, it was but nine miles wide. Heck, we sneeze that far in Delaware."

e)

"So, when you hear me getting all riled about construction on the other side of the "GreenLine", you know, just ignore me. I think those idiots over at State and those other shmucks in the President's advisory team are one big joke. So, come on, let's just have one big laugh on those dummies."

Any other questions?
