My Son's Sports Bar & Grill Gets Coverage

The Lion’s Den is not your typical sports bar.

Sports bars are usually associated with large TV screens, beer and fast food. The latter is not the case with The Lion’s Den, Hagov Bar and Grill, according to co-owners Gani Medad and Yonah Mishaan.

Medad and Mishaan had a dream of opening a sports bar in Jerusalem. Mishaan is the coach of the women’s national flag football team, and Meidad plays for the Big Blue Lions football team.

After Shiloh-born and raised Medad returned from living in the States for three years, working and saving money, he and Mishaan researched locations for over a year until they found a 120-year-old building in Nahalat Shiva that had been a bar for five and a half years. The owner wanted to sell, so they bought it, fixed it up and opened The Lion’s Den on February 21.

The Lions Den, sounds great. I'm a big Liverpool fan and we've got our own Lion and his name is Yossi Benayoun. We're launching our new website soon and I will come back when we open Israel and you guys are on for nothing. Good Luck
