UK Boycott Leaflet Observation

Thanks to JH I received this leaflet:

The story is here:

Britain’s Federation of Trade Unions has launched a campaign calling for a ban of settlement goods and produce with an anti-Israel group that is leading a complete boycott, sanctions and divestment campaign against Israel.

The Trade Union Congress (TUC) has teamed up with the one-state solution advocates Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC), launching a campaign titled “Would you buy stolen goods?”

The campaign leads with the accusation that Israeli produce comes from “stolen land” and accuses Israel of using child labor and encouraging conflict.

“Israeli settlements are built on stolen Palestinian land and are illegal under international law,” said TUC general secretary Brendan Barber. “By confiscating land and resources, and encouraging conflict, they make life a misery for ordinary Palestinian workers and their families.”

"Stolen Land"?

I wonder, if proof would be brought that lands were actually purchased, some before the state was established, that the Arab owners received money and title deeds were transferred through the courts, would a lawyer be willing to bring a suit - truth in advertising, slander, or whatever?

I notice that here they include "Israel" and not only "settlements":

Check the label: Visit your local supermarket or shop and if you find goods from Israel or illegal settlements, demand to speak to the manager. Tell them your concerns about Israeli goods being stocked and refer to Israel's appalling human rights record and recent war crimes in Gaza.

Nah - where's the fun in that? Truth is not of interest to these folks.
