Six Decades?

See that "six decades" there?

A Proms performance by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra was disrupted by demonstrators at the Royal Albert Hall last night.

Around 30 pro-Palestinian protesters were eventually removed from the concert after groups shouted, sang, and unfurled a flag over one of the galleries. BBC Radio 3, which was broadcasting the concert live, was forced to come off air, the first time disturbances have forced it off air in its history...

“It was obviously very carefully orchestrated,” a spokesperson said. The protest was co-ordinated by a number of pro-Palestinian groups including the BDS, a coalition of human-rights activists who campaign for an independent Palestine, and the Boycott Israel Network. Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi, a pro-Palestinian activist who was part of the first group to be removed from the hall, told The Times last night that they were targetting the IPO because they are used as “a propaganda method by the Israeli state”. “The boycott movement acted because for six decades the Palestinians have been subjected to endless oppression and illegal settlement of their land,” she said.

Six decades back is...1948.

Pre-1967.

Pre-"occupation".

Pre-"settlements".

Think about that.

And

Naomi Wimborne-Idrissi is a Jewish campaigner for Palestinian rights based in London. She recently helped found Jews for Boycotting Israeli Goods, to belie the myth that the boycott campaign is anti-semitic. On the contrary she believes Jews whose ancestors experienced so much suffering have a duty to act when fellow Jews are guilty of oppressing others.

She was arrested

...on June 29 2008 when Ms Wimborne-Idrissi held up a sign reading 'Palestinian blood on Israeli hands' at an Israeli parade along Haymarket in central London. She also dyed her hands red...Solicitor Simon Natas, representing Wimborne-Idrissi, said his client’s action had been “entirely peaceful and legitimate”.  Daniel Machover, Chair of Lawyers for Palestinian Human Rights (LPHR), said: “Given Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestinian land and the persistent brutality of the Israeli authorities towards Palestinians, as witnessed in Gaza just weeks ago, supporters of these policies cannot expect their celebrations or marches to be held without reasonable dissent."

Not another ASHamed Jew.
