"King's Law" Under Academic Scrutiny and Discussion

Despite opposition, led by "Banish the Darkness" Coalition, who claimed: אבל אסור לתת מקום להסתה מקום לגיטימי בשיח (they cannot be permitted a legitimate role in public discourse), the Hebrew University's Jewish Thought Department will be conducting tonight a critical evening dedicated to the book:

Speakers include Dr. Avinoam Rosnak, Prof. Rachel Elior, Dr. Eli Chadad, Dr. Mustafa Abu-Suweid and Rabbi Yisrael Ariel.

The Arab Communists, Hadash, are also opposed.  It's a racist book(*).  It is "illegal and immoral" and students are called to demonstrate.  Rabbis Ovadia Yosef and Shalom Elyashiv are not happy with the book, either.

I have discussed it previously

(*)   I left a comment there asking about some verses in the Koran:

I presume it should, at the least, a stirring evening.
